FINCA BRIGADOON is only a 10 minute drive from the town of Iznajar in the province of Cordoba, in Spain.
Iznajar is situated high up on what is called the Lake of Andalucia with its cobbled streets, ancient castle, churches, quaint shops, bars, restaurants, and banks. There are excellent shopping facilities in the larger towns of Lucena and Antequera, both only a 45 minute drive. Iznajar has a beach on the lake where you can swim, fish, windsurf, sail or hire pedal-boats. There is a beachside bar and an excellent restaurant! The nearest airports are in Malaga and Granada, both of which are only an hour away. The nearest railway Loja, is a 30 minute drive. Antequera is only 40 minutes away. Motorway Salinas (junction 175) is a 25 minute drive. Iznajar's new sports centre is scheduled to open in 2008. There's local horse riding available, and 18 hole golf courses are close by in Granada and Antequera, with more being constructed. The historic cities of Cordoba and Sevilla are both less than a 2 hour drive. And Granada with its famous Alhambra is no more than an hour and 15 minutes. Sierra Nevada Ski Resort is only another 20 minutes. There's skiing in the Sierra Nevada's between December and April.
